A New Year, A New You

I love the word "New" for its simplicity and the energy it carries.
It's full of hope, change, and freshness.

I had this long-standing misconception, I’m not supposed to change because that will change WHO I AM to myself and to those around me. I remember how 90s Bollywood films used to associate "change" with "betrayal, pain, and agony".
(I can literally see Rekha's crying face right now saying "tum badal gaye" with so much pain)
Movies leave some kind of impression on us. So I decided that I love my people enough to never change. (I'm not going to betray my people)( I'm laughing so hard at my BS now)
But in the walk of life, it is not uncommon to transform. I am not the same person I was a year ago. Hopefully, you are not too.
Change means keeping the things you love the most in you, and updating only those things you wish to work more in your favor rather than against you.

Well for a year now, I have been trying a new way of being. A being that works for me. A being where I feel more in connection with the present and in tune with my soul. A being that makes my life a little less serious and extra joyful.
It’s about doing things that are most important to me. It's about an intentional and conscious way of living. It's about those tiny mental shifts which make me hold myself with compassion and grace. It's about embracing the fact that you might not be doing it all, you are doing less but better.
“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” ― Rumi
It's practice. It's slow progress. It's messy. It's fun. It's full of growth and expansion.
Change yourself because you love yourself enough to become better at this game called life.
❤️: I promise the final feeling will be -
“That was exhilarating! I’ve never felt more alive!”
“Wanna do it again?”
I wish you big changes in your life which make you grow, expand and transform.
XO,
Harshank
